Paper Dollhouse - « In Dreams »

Paper Dollhouse is a duo, Astrud and Nina, which began as an audiovisual project several years ago as a way of experimenting with home-recording and production. Back then it was folky with icy electronics, A Box Painted Black (Bird/ Finders Keepers 2011). Aeonflower in 2015 (Night School/ Bird) and a Devon Folklore Tapes split tape and recently 10" reissue on Devon Folklore Tapes. We're recording another album produced by Asher Levitas of Old Apparatus/ Planet Mu due out later this year. We've been releasing a series of new and archival stuff on our own imprint MoonDome over the last year which reflects a different side to the project comprised of more electronic, instrumental work (soundcloud.com/paper-dollhouse https://bleep.com/music/label/5775-moondome. It's a way to release new stuff without long lead in times and try out new ideas. "In Dreams" is a track at the popier end of the spectrum produced by Matt Lambert during the sessions for Aeonflower. It is an accompanying track to "Swans" released on The Outer Church compilation which has a similar feel. We love writing more electronic pop stuff but they can work better as individual tracks than as part of an album narrative. It was inspired in part by a track from Heiroglyphic Being's Imaginary Soundscapes. Arpeggiated dream worlds.
